Hosts/sellers create listings for their equipment, including descriptions, usage conditions, and rental prices. Buyers browse these listings, book the equipment they need, and pick it up or arrange delivery through the platform

Yes, signing up as a Host/seller or Buyer is free. Listing is free. Hosts/sellers pay a small administrative fee on each successful rental/resale transaction, and Buyers pay only for the items they rent/buy. No other hidden fees.

Most hosts/sellers pay an administrative fee between 10-15% (similar rate as Airbnb and Turo). The administrative fee helps cover operational costs such as secure payment processing, customer support, marketing to attract more users, and maintaining the platform’s functionality and security. It ensures a seamless and safe experience for both Hosts and Buyers.

We verify users and equipment listing. We also encourage Hosts/sellers to provide accurate listings and maintain their equipment in good condition. Ratings and reviews also play a vital role in ensuring quality across the platform.

Yes! After completing a rental or resale transaction, both Buyers and Hosts/sellers can leave reviews to help others in the community make informed decisions.

All users must be at least 18 years old

Hobbyhop welcomes all hobby item listings. However, the following categories of items may not be listed on the platform and any attempt to do so is a violation of these Terms of Service and may result in a user being banned:

  •   Items that do not belong to the Owner
  •   Stolen property
  •   Gun, knives, bows, weapons of any nature
  •   Fireworks or devices involving explosives
  •   Toxic or hazardous substances, illegal drugs
